Wacky Wednesday Arrows
There are many directions of energy and many directions of movement and sensations that dancers must master. It can be daunting.
Imagine wearing a light-colored leotard, and this leotard has black arrows drawn on it. These arrows indicate the directions of movement and/or sensations that a dancer must feel.
For example, above the clavicles (collar bones) are two arrows, one on each side, each one pointing outward; at the spine are two arrows, one pointing upward, the other downward, indicated the all-powerful two-way energy. The lower ribs have an arrow on each side pointing inward and slightly downward; etc.
You get the idea. You could even use a castoff leotard and actually draw the lines to see what it looks like (not to be worn in class, of course).
