Late Statute
There is no late in ballet. There is no arriving
late to class, no being late on the music and no being late on entrances or
exits. No being late at all.
Now, there
are - rarely- instances where a dancer is late and it is unavoidable: A traffic
accident, a weather event or some similar rare
–emphasis on rare – occurrence.
Being late
to class is a big no-no. Depending on the school, the dancer may be asked to
quietly enter the room so as not to disturb the rest of the class, or she may
not be allowed to take class at all. If a dancer is habitually late, it could
be a cause for dismissal from the program entirely.
There is no
late in ballet.

never understand the many ways in which they screw up the schedules of people
who are punctual...”
