Mad Monday Hug an Egg
Here we go again with yet another egg
image.
When the arms are in first (or fifth en
avant) position, it is important to maintain their shape without tension. That
shape is a circular one, like hugging a giant (raw) egg around its middle.
An egg is a good image because
although the arms are creating a strong, physical shape (no drooping elbows,
etc.), it shouldn’t be so strong that that the egg is crushed and the shape is
ruined.
Maybe we should call the position fifth
egg avant…
