Wacky Wednesday Gift Card Pirouettes
Here we are in the midst of holiday festivities, and you probably gave or received at least one gift card. Today I’d like you to think about the shape and feel of that card because it can be very useful as a dance image.
For successful pirouettes, the torso must be solid and immovable. At no time should it twist, collapse, or even wrinkle. Otherwise the turns won’t work effectively.
To prevent these problems when you are turning, imagine the torso as a flat, solid gift card. The gift card doesn’t fold or twist, so pirouettes are much more apt to be successful.
