Mad Monday Barre Arm
Pity the poor barre arm. It never gets
attention. But it is just as important as the rest of the body.
The arm on the barre should be slightly in
front of you – never behind. The elbow is relaxed, but there is a gentle
downward pressure of the hand against the barre which allows the body to lift
upward against it. There’s that two-way energy again. The emphasis here is gentle. There should never be aggressive
pressure.
Always think of the barre as your
partner – treat it with kindness and respect.
