Sunday Better
I came across this quote by Arnold
Bennett and thought about how it applies to dancers: “Any change, even a change for the better, is always accompanied by
drawbacks and discomforts.”
That’s what dancers do on a daily basis:
strive for change, and hopefully
change for the better. No wonder dancers get discouraged. Our daily quest is “always
accompanied by drawback and discomforts.” And let’s talk about discomforts!
Just a peek at a ballet dancer's feet will speak volumes.
So, today’s message is this: take heart!
Keep striving for change and recognize that drawbacks and discomforts are
normal, and part of the process. A process that, we all know, eventually produces
wonderful results.
