Sunday Treasures
Dancers are creatures of routine. We take classes daily, and probably have the
same morning and evening routines at home every day. We probably take the same exact route to class
each day. With a repetitive routine like
this, it can be numbing.
Shake things up a bit.
Do something a little different with the morning routine. Look out a different window and really notice
what you see – a different side of a neighbor’s house, a new bird, a tree you
never really focused on before. You
might even find a hidden treasure of something really special or beautiful,
like a vibrant rainbow, a bush full of blossoms, or a huge full moon.
Little treasures – most of them are hidden only by our
preoccupation. Look for them. They can hide in people and incidents, too,
like the spontaneous, bubbly smile of a child, the hug of someone special, or
an unexpected kind word sincerely given.
Become a treasure hunter – it is fun and inspirational!

“Look for hidden
treasures every day.”

Quote
of the Day:
“Develop an interest in life as you see
it; the people, things, literature, music – the world is so rich, simply
throbbing with rich treasures, beautiful souls and interesting people. Forget yourself.”
