Kindness
If you watch the Ellen DeGeneres Show, you know that she
always ends her program with these words:
“Be kind to one another”. What a
wonderful thing! We all need that little
reminder, I think, especially on trying days.
It helps to remember that there is always someone having more problems
than we are, and could use a little kindness sent their way.
According to the World
Giving Index 2012, the United State comes in fifth in their poll ranking the Top
Ten Kindest Nations. Australia was first, followed by Ireland,
Canada and New Zealand. But we are only
fifth. Sigh.
An article from Time magazine ( http://healthland.time.com/2013/05/09/why-kindness-can-make-us-happier-healthier/
) says that being kind to others is good for you, and the reason for that can
be traced to a specific nerve. Pretty
interesting stuff, but I believe on some level we all knew that – because being
kind simply makes us feel good. Not to mention
that it makes the world overall - or at least our small part of the world – a much
better place.
So have a wonderful Sunday, and be kind to one another.

“”Remember there’s no such thing as a small act of
kindness. Every act creates a ripple
with no logical end.”
