Fun Friday Cucumber Sandwiches
I’ve talked about the shape of the hands
before: Ballet Secret #6s: “Avoid Hamburger Hands by lengthening the hands and fingers so the
energy can flow outward from the fingertips.” Here is another idea for the
hands and fingers.
Imagine holding a tiny cucumber sandwich
between the thumb and fingers. This is the correct distance. It’s like those
small sandwiches seen on Downtown Abbey.
Often the thumb likes to migrate away
from the fingers and when this happens it looks like you are holding a big
hamburger – or worse – wearing a catcher’s mitt. Scary.
So imagine having tea at Downton Abbey
and keep the thumb close to the hand.

Blue Book of Ballet Secrets
Secret #:
“Your thumb and fingers should look like you are
holding a cucumber sandwich.”

Quote of the Day:
“It's
important to achieve balance in sandwiches, because who really knows how to
achieve it in life? Life is messy, difficult, occasionally great but mostly
upsetting and out of your control. But you can always make a good sandwich, and
a good sandwich will make you happy!”
