Wacky Wednesday Coin
Here’s another way to visualize
pirouettes.
Imagine a shiny new coin, spinning on
its edge. It maintains its shape (of course) – solid and firm – but most
importantly, it is FLAT. This is how you want to feel in a turn, flat with no
extraneous things sticking out, down or up. You shouldn’t feel like a bent coin or
one that was flattened on a train track.
To take it one step further, take a coin
and actually spin it. This will solidify the image in your mind.
Have fun with it!
