Mad Monday Magnification
I’ve blogged many times about energy patterns: how they are
equal and opposite, and how the energy is constant. Not only that, the energy
needs to radiate in all directions.
Here is another thought: imagine that all movements are
magnified – just like being seen under a magnifying glass. This is especially
true onstage, since everything must be bigger than life in order to be seen by
audience members in the balcony.
Magnify everything: step out further, expand the port de
bras, lengthen the extended leg, etc. Once you start thinking about it there’s
no end to the possibilities of magnification.

Ballet Secret #7eee:
“Magnify all movements.”

compounds and magnifies what is already in us.”
