Sunday After Valentine’s
On this day after Valentine’s Day I thought I’d blog about
how today’s Motivational Secret is a
good life motto to embrace. Yesterday was filled with candy and cards and red
hearts and people reaching out to their special someone.
But what about those who don’t have a special Valentine?
Our culture makes us feel that not having someone special (a
boyfriend, girlfriend or spouse)is a bad thing. But on some level, each person
in our life is “special”. And all of us want to be acknowledged, all of us want to feel
like we have something to contribute. We all want to make a difference in some
way.
Look at everyone you
meet, work with, or know, in this way, and your outlook changes.
If we live our life with the underlying goal of making those
we interact with feel good, important, or – dare I say – special, everyone
benefits. And suddenly, everyone has at least a few special someones.
From the Big Blue Book of Ballet Secrets:
Motivational Secret #58:
“Be somebody who makes everybody feel like a somebody.”

Quote
of the Day:
Each one of us has the power to make others feel better or worse.
Making others feel better is much more fun than making others feel worse.
Making others feel better generally makes us feel better.
