Terminology Tuesday Descendant
The term en descendant [ahn day-sahn-DAHN] means coming down. No big surprise here. It’s like a descendant tree in
genealogy that traces the family line downwards to the present.
En
descendant is a term of the French
school of ballet and it means that the working leg passes from back to front.
Thus the dancer moves in a downstage or forward direction.

Quote of the Day:
“No matter
who our ancestors are, our own personal and monumental task is to become the
best person that we can possibly be - someone in whom our own descendants in
times to come can take great pride and find inspiration.”
