Fun Friday Floor Feeling
One of the secrets to a good pirouette
is a good preparation. And that starts with a good plié. But often dancers are
so focused on the turn itself they forget to really think about the plié.
Concentrate on feeling the floor. Really feel it. Press down into it (along with
the necessary upward energy in the body). Make sure every inch of the bottoms of
your feet make contact. No popping heels!
When you find this into-the-floor feeling,
your pirouettes will automatically improve.
Feel the floor!
