Saturday Superstition Richard Rodgers Theatre

Another famous haunted theater is the Richard Rodgers Theatre in New York City. According to the website http://www.playbill.com/article/the-real-life-ghost-stories-behind-broadways-9-haunted-theatres: “Dressing rooms have strange sounds, and things spontaneously fall off shelves in one of them. Afterhours brings bizarre howling sounds, chandeliers moving, the sound of people walking.

Other strange happenings include appearances of a ghostly child and reappearing lipstick smudges in the ladies room. Then there is Box B, where other apparitions have been seen.

The theater was built in 1925 and was called Chanin’s 46th Street Theatre. After going through several owners , in 1990 it was renamed the Richard Rodgers Theatre in memory of the famous composer.
