Terminology Tuesday Retombé
A term of the French school as well as the Cecchetti method of
training is retombé [ruh-tawn-BAY].
It means falling back or returning to the original position.
I’ve usually heard it used in conjunction with sissonne – sissonne retombé (Cecchetti) – which is
the same step as sissonne doublée.
Sissone doublée is a compound step that includes not only sissonne, but
