Fun Friday Anchors and Balloons

Fun Friday Anchors and Balloons

Yes, it is yet another image for good posture! Yea! This one is a double image and it comes from the book “Inside Ballet Technique” by Valerie Grieg. Here it is:

“Imagine the base of your spine is an anchor and you have a bunch of balloons tied to the top of your head. Now see the balloons drifting upward and slightly forward.”

You will notice that this image provides the all-important two-way energy, plus, the slight forward angle of the body (from the ankles) that is so critical for proper alignment.

Wow! This image(s) works on several levels.

Quote of the Day:
“Do you have an anchor? I have found that a solid anchor is indispensable to one who intends to live life fully. To have an anchor is to be centered and well grounded.”
