Saturday Difficulty Statute

Saturday Difficulty Statute

I’ll bet that you have already experienced the truth of this Ballet Statute – even if you’ve only been dancing for a short while. What seemed difficult yesterday is little more than a warm-up today. Dance training is like that.

It helps to remember this Statute when the going gets tough. Look back once in a while on how far you’ve come, and consider how many things you’ve already achieved. Dancers tend to focus so hard on the future and what they can’t do (yet), they forget to appreciate all they have accomplished. It seems to be part of being a dancer.

But remember, it doesn’t hurt to look back every now and then and pat yourself on the back for every goal (however small), you have achieved.

Happy Veteran's Day!

From the Big Blue Book of Ballet Secrets
Ballet Statute #99:
What seems difficult now will someday be just your warm-up.

Quote of the Day:
“Look at a day when you are supremely satisfied at the end. It's not a day when you lounge around doing nothing; it's a day you've had everything to do and you've done it.”
Margaret Thatcher
