Fun Friday Land of Pirouette

Fun Friday Land of Pirouette

Once upon a time, long long ago – and today – there was (and is) a Land of Pirouette. That’s right. This beautiful land is long and narrow, almost like the state of Florida. And, like Florida, it is almost completely surrounded by water. This land is called Retiré.

In the land of  Retiré, the borders must not be crossed if a successful pirouette is to be achieved. Otherwise - Splash! – a water landing will occur. Not good.

Therefore, maintain the solid borders of the land of Retiré for all pirouettes. That way they are more likely to be successful, and maybe even awesome.

And everyone will live happily ever after.

From the Big Blue Book of Ballet Secrets:
Ballet Secret #14ee:
“Remember to stay in the Land of Pirouette.”
