Wild Wednesday Stop Sign
I have talked before about how a grand plié must be a
continuous movement with no stopping, pausing or hesitating at the bottom (in
the basement). But it still happens...
I can only surmise that students think there is a big red
stop sign at the bottom of the plié, requiring them to make a full stop. Scary.
There is no such sign. There isn’t even a yield sign. There is no sign at all
and therefore the plié must remain smooth and constant like driving down the
road on a sunny day.
There are no stop signs in grand plié. Period.
