Sunday React

Sunday React

It’s not what happens that matters, it’s how you react. This is good advice that I’ve seen in many places, from the internet to books to wall hangings.

It’s easy to say, like most advice, but difficult to do in reality. The best way to achieve it is to practice (there’s that word again) responding in ways that lead to better outcomes.

If you had a “bad” class, don’t beat yourself up about it, go forward, quit ruminating, and remember that tomorrow will be better. Didn’t get cast in the role you coveted? Same thing. Go forward and look forward, not back. Focus on what you can do, and not what you didn’t do, or didn’t get, in the past.

Train yourself to react in a way that produces a more positive outlook, a more positive and satisfying life.

Motivational Secret #31:
“It’s not what happens that matters, it’s how you react.”
