Monday Lift

Monday Lift

One simple secret for successful pirouettes is this: Lift the passé slightly at the end of the turn. At least it sounds simple.

First of all this implies that you have left some wiggle room – a little amount of space to go upward with the passé. In other words don’t place the passé too high at the beginning. Secondly, it means only a slight lift – not anything that will throw the placement out of whack - just think of bending the passé knee a bit more.

Lifting the passé also helps the body lift too, and that is important at the end of a turn.

All that being said, lifting the passé slightly higher at the end of the turn can work wonders. Try it.
