Wacky Wednesday Hang of It

Students often have difficulty feeling the downward energy part of the two-way energy that is required for proper dance technique. For most pupils, the up energy isn’t hard to feel, but the down…

To help with the down sensation, imagine being a Halloween skeleton hanging in the air, suspended by a string located at the top of the head. Imagine the sensation of gravity pulling gently downward on this skeleton.

That’s the downward energy! Now you have the “hang of it”!
