Sunday Little Things

Sunday Little Things

When you think back about the most wonderful moments in your life, how often do they involve a big milestone like a wedding or the birth of a child? These are always huge moments, with grand memories. But there are other moments that end up being equally wonderful, and they are often the least expected.

These moments come randomly, and sometimes the value of them isn't recognized until much later. These are memories of everyday, mundane things, like helping your grandmother bake cookies, or going fishing with a favorite uncle. Or even more mundane – a moment waiting for a school bus with a best friend, sharing an after school snack with a beloved dog, or taking a walk through the leaves in the fall.

It’s strange isn't it? That the most heart-warming and treasured memories are those that involve the smallest, most ordinary things.

From the Big Blue Book of Ballet Secrets:

Secret #57:
“The little things today may become tomorrow’s most treasured memories.”

Quote of the Day:
“Nothing is ever really lost to us as long as we remember it.”
