Today is Special

At the end of this holiday weekend, I offer this reminder:   cherish each day – not just holidays.  Don’t save the pretty china for Christmas, and the nice linens for company.  Use them.  Don’t wait to be happy for a holiday weekend.  Look for happiness today.

Look back on some of the most memorable days of your life.  How many were just normal, average days?  I’ll bet a lot of them – maybe even most of them.  So never underestimate the power and joy that lurk in a normal, run-of-the-mill day.

So look now – right now, this minute - for happiness, and don’t  just anticipate happiness that will arrive at some future date.

Today is special.
